Neiry Lab is set to roll out a “think-to-airdrop” campaign for its line of devices that records users’ brainwaves. The feature will be pay participants in meme coins for the company’s right to use and sell their brainwave data, which is in hot demand for research.
In December, the research lab gained popularity in the crypto sphere after its experiment on a rat called Pythia went viral, rallying a meme coin community behind it. Pythia has a chip that is hardwired to his brain and connected to a custom-made AI model based on OpenAI’s ChatGPT as well as DeepSeek. This model then translates human languages into brain impulses that make Pythia press one of two buttons.
As a result, Pythia can supposedly answer questions that require yes or no answers—non-binary answers are currently being worked on.
