Patthawikorn Boonrin, a man from Thailand, recently went viral on social media after claiming he used ChatGPT, an AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, to formulate the winning lottery numbers.

According to reports, the strategy Boonrin used entails inputting hypothetical queries and previous winning numbers on the chatbot. The generated numbers for his victorious draw were 57, 27, 29, and 99. Although the prize was not that big, Boonrin claimed to have generated lottery numbers using this method in the past.

Boonrin shared his experience using ChatGPT to generate lottery numbers on TikTok, where he has acquired a following and intends to disclose additional details.

According to the local news source CatDumb, the AI chatbot also advised Boonrin to “not be obsessed” with his newly discovered technique and go do something like engaging in a physical outdoor activity.

The issue of using AI chatbots like ChatGPT for gambling purposes has been discussed in response to Boonrin’s story.

Colleges and universities have prohibited the use of the chatbot that has taken the world by storm. Their reason? The AI tool could increase the likelihood of plagiarism and deception on campus.
