Lead Dev Proposes New Standard For SHIB World
In an X (formerly Twitter) post released on Monday, March 4, Kusama proposed the development of a unique standard of expression and identification within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Envisioning a decentralized world, where people could express themselves in a new and inventive way, Kusama drew parallels to the lasting impact of the dot-com legacy, a period during the late 1990s to 2000, where investors made large-scale investments into internet-based businesses in the hopes of making profits.
The Shib co-founder has extended his vision beyond conventional norms, urging Shiba Inu community members to consider a fresh approach to self-expression within the ecosystem while also taking the dot-com era as a standard of transformation for the SHIB space.
“Remember .com? Yeah, because decades later, it is still the standard. So, imagine if there was a new way to express yourself in the new Shib world?” Kusama said.

Kusama’s statements about a dot-com standard were made in reference to the recent unveiling of the SHIB name service. The SHIB team previously announced that the 1.1 version of the SNS will be released on Tuesday, March 5, with a temporary suspension of all transfers for existing name tokens preceding the launch.
