Samsung Electronics has expanded its partnership with Coinbase to offer cryptocurrency services to 75 million Galaxy users in the United States. The integration allows Coinbase users to purchase crypto directly through the app using Samsung Pay, building on a partnership initially announced in July.
Samsung Wallet users will also receive access to a three month free subscription to Coinbase One, a premium membership that includes zero trading fees on select assets, boosted staking rewards and partner offers. Users can also receive a $25 credit after completing their first trade on Coinbase.
The expanded partnership adds cryptocurrency functionality to Samsung Wallet’s existing features, which include mobile payments, peer to peer transfers, digital IDs, membership cards and digital keys. Users can now view their crypto holdings alongside these other digital services in a single platform.
