ORLANDO, Fla. (PRWEB) May 03, 2023
Nikki Lewis Simon, a commercial litigator with more than two decades of experience and the Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Officer at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will be the keynote speaker at the Orlando Business Journal’s 2023 Diversity in Business Awards and EXPO May 11 in Orlando, Florida.
The awards will cover excellence in all areas of diversity, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, and religion, as well as highlight diverse organizations and individuals across a wide variety of industries. “It is an honor to speak on a subject that I believe is both timely and important: taking action to create diversity, equity, and inclusion within your organization,” Simon said. “My approach is focused on implementing intentional and transformative actions, four of which I believe are key to creating a solid base for a variety of businesses: being courageous, making room for everyone at the table, meeting people where they are, and sharing our stories.”
In her capacity as Chief DEI Officer, Simon designs and guides strategic initiatives and programs to deepen firmwide diversity and inclusion efforts that further enrich client engagements and community investments. Simon is also an active member of Greenberg Traurig’s Labor & Employment Practice’s team of diverse lawyers who concentrate in strategic DEI and employment counseling.
