Crypto startup Immutable is a gaming-focused firm with a layer-2 Ethereum blockchain, Immutable X, as well as an upcoming zkEVM blockchain, which has launched its test network at time of writing.

Many games have adopted Immutable’s tech to provide faster and cheaper on-chain interactions than Ethereum’s own mainnet, and several of those titles have started flooding into the Epic Games Store, a major mainstream PC gaming marketplace.

Not to be confused with the sci-fi blockchain metaverse game of the same name, the Avalon game using the Immutable zkEVM blockchain is a medieval, open-world MMORPG where you can create characters, craft items, complete quests, and explore a world with dragons, ships, and expansive leafy landscapes.
