Amid a recent downturn in the cryptocurrency market, both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) have experienced a decline in their prices, causing a ripple effect across the entire crypto landscape. As BTC and ETH falter, altcoins like Rebel Satoshi (RBLZ) and Borroe Finance (ROE) show promise.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices Plunge Amid SEC ETF Concerns

Bitcoin and Ethereum have recently experienced a sudden decline in their prices. The decline was triggered by fears that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) would reject the proposal for a Bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund (ETF). 

The rejection of the proposal could lead to a decline of up to 20% in BTC price, analysts predict. The decline in Bitcoin and crypto prices has also affected Ethereum. Overall the assets have all experienced a drop of between 8% and 15%.

The decline in BTC prices has been attributed to overleveraged positions, exceptionally high funding rates on Bitcoin futures, and high-profit rates of short-term holders. Despite the decline, some analysts believe that the crypto rally is still solid and that the approval of a spot ETF could lead to a surge of capital inflows for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
