Spooky season is here, but many of the biggest video games releasing this month don’t actually fall under the horror genre.
Instead, a wide range of games are launching this October for PC gamers and console players alike. From Ubisoft and Marvel franchises to colorful Nintendo titles, there’s something for everyone releasing next month. Here are the highlights.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Craving more Assassin’s Creed? You’re in luck. Ubisoft is releasing Assassin’s Creed Mirage this month on October 5, making it the 13th core game in its longstanding historical action-adventure game series.
The story of Mirage takes place in Baghdad in the year 861 CE, in what is now known as Iraq. Players will fight enemies and work their way through the main storyline as Basim Ibn Ishaq, who first appeared in Ubisoft’s previous Assassin’s Creed Valhalla game. Mirage’s protagonist is considered faster than previous assassins in the series, and prefers to move stealthily rather than fight out in the open.
