Bitcoin ($BTC) is trading down after briefly breaking through the $69,000 threshold on Monday. After facing prolonged sideways price action, the world’s leading crypto appeared to be breaking its pattern. Following its sudden spike, Bitcoin dropped to a low of $66,700 before slightly recovering to trade at $66,949.

As the dominant store of value, $BTC remains the go-to choice for institutional investors. However, its recent price fluctuations have market watchers questioning whether it can continue to dominate the market in the long term.

Ethereum ($ETH), the second largest crypto by market cap, has shown signs of relative weakness. While Ethereum remains the backbone of decentralized applications and smart contracts, it has battled declining network activity. The crypto market is known for its inherent volatility, but experts are raising slight concerns over its performance.
